With a new year comes lots of changes. In the mornings now I am in a classroom supporting students and in the afternoons I am one on one teaching academics. There are so many new things I am learning with new student dynamics in Autism and behaviors. It is very exciting to me and very important for the students I teach. I love watching them learn and achieve their goals. If you have any questions you can always contact me via email. As always I continue to love working with your children.

"Cool or Uncool" parents can use the same language at home and learn about the characters from the papers coming home too. soon Thanksgiving will be here and the snow right after. Please send the children with warm clothes as the weather changes. Don't forget to Let us know about your weekends to help your children with their weekend share, and writings. I'll do my best to keep up with the class blog :) Mrs Chapman I hope everyone is enjoying your summer so far. I have been doing lots of gardening and taking my daughter to Basketball tournament games. A Lot of traveling! I will be working in my Art studio as much as I can :) Enjoy the rest of your summer and have a lot of stories to tell when you get back to school! L. Chapman We have been very busy in our classroom.
The children are working hard to keep up with all of their reading, math, and writing. We have put in some winter activities, coloring pictures and writing about snow fun, gingerbread men, and special wishes. We read stories about gingerbread men and made some to. First out of paper then out of cookie dough. We also made gingerbread houses too. On Thursday (12-18) we had our own celebration and watched a special movie. On Monday (12-22) we will open gifts that will be for the class. During morning choice the children will be able to play with them. Tuesday will be a full day of school and then we will have a little break. If you can help your children stay up on some of their academics. Remind them to read, write, practice sight words, and count by 1's, 5's, and 10's. this will help them stay on track while they are on vacation. Have a great vacation, and enjoy all the family and friends you can. Don't forget to relax! Best to all, and Merry Christmas, Laurie October was a busy month in our classroom. Along with the students growth in their academics, we squeezed in extra activities. The children had fun making cookies, and decorating them. Chocolate Chip! They learned a little about estimating, and they made good guesses on how much our class pumpkin weighed, the circumference and how many seeds inside! Then we opened it and took out all the seeds, there was over 300 seeds!! With costumes on, it was Time to celebrate, so I brought in a homemade pumpkin pie, and we roasted the seeds and enjoyed some taste testing. YUM! The children are now excited to know that Thanksgiving is on its way. 12/9/14
